Abstract: Using data from the Medical and Functional Outcomes of Residential Care Project listed previously, eight facilities that appear to embody high-quality care and eight facilities that appear to embody low quality care will be identified. From these facilities, 225 residents with dementia will be identified and data will be obtained via site visit on the quality of their care and their quality of life. Analyses will elucidate which components of care relate to better outcomes and will be able to be used to refine care practices and improve services.
