| Abstract: | Differences in women's bone (osteoporosis) health are an important public health concern, but are not well documented at present. To date, few studies have examined differences in osteoporosis medication use. Studies that do, tend to focus on narrow subpopulations and examine older osteoporosis medications or use claims data. This study contributes to the literature by presenting estimates on trends and differences in osteoporosis medication use and expenditures among post-menopausal women using nationally representative data. |
