Abstract: The purpose of this project in Phase 1 is to a) conduct a telephone inventory of ongoing and recently completed residential smoke detector interventions in the U.S., b) coordinate an evaluation of the adequacy of SD coverage in a sample of homes that obtained SDs through CDC-funded interventions; c) develop an advisory guide for organizations interested in undertaking a residential SD intervention. In Phase II, the purpose is to evaluate up to five SD interventions for cost-effectiveness and cost-benefit.
