Abstract: This project will analyze existing automated data files from a Health Maintenance Organization's breast cancer screening program in order to examine factors related to whether a woman who has had a screening mammogram returns regularly and at recommended intervals for rescreening mammographic exams. These analyses will examine whether such factors as comorbidity, time since last mammogram, older age, and family history of breast cancer are related to appropriate rescreening behavior among women enrolled in the HMO's breast cancer screening program. The information generated from these analyses will enable the future development of interventions to increase rescreening among this and other similar populations.
