| Abstract: | The primary purpose of the Adolescent Parenting Program is to provide educational, child care, health, mental health, and social services for pregnant and parenting adolescents as well as prevention activities and programs for youths who are considered "at risk" for dropping out of school, premature sexuality, adolescent pregnancy, and involvement in other health and life-compromising behaviors. The programs and services are offered in an effort to prevent and reduce the major risk factors that prevent targeted youth and their children from achieving academic success (e.g., grade promotion, graduation), optimal health and personal development. |
