Abstract: $477,511 to University of Alabama at Birmingham in collaboration with U.S. Quality Algorithms to study ways to improve health care quality for Aetna U.S. Healthcare members with depression by using achievable benchmarks of care. This study will use claims and chart review data to examine outpatient management of depression, including whether there are differences due to patient race and economic status, provider characteristics or reimbursement methods.
